On Saturday, October 18, the normally bustling White Plains Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/RAM dealership on Westchester Avenue was in virtual overdrive. In addition to customers shopping for the very best automotive deals, a special ceremony took place in which the dealership formally presented White Plains High School's football team with a check for over $4,000 to support and strengthen the school's many programs.

On August 30, the dealership partnered with the RAM Truck brand to present the RAM Gridiron Challenge-a promotional event developed by the truck manufacturer to support high school football programs nationwide. For the White Plains event, prospective customers were invited to test drive some of the dealership's RAM vehicles on a nearby field.  Over 250 people attended on that summer day and for each person who test-drove a vehicle, RAM donated $20 to the White Plains High School football team. After a successful day of four-wheeled fun, a total of $4,320 was raised.

On hand for the check presentation were dealership President, Augie DiFeo, White Plains High School Head Football Coach Michael Stevens, along with enthusiastic members of this season's football team. Says Mr. DiFeo, "Since we first opened our doors, White Plains Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM's goal has always been to create the ultimate client relationship. Over the years, the dealership has grown and evolved, and so has our commitment to the community."

"Unbelievable!" is how Coach Stevens describes the school's Gridiron windfall. "This will do so much good for the players. The extra funding will go toward benefiting many programs within the school."

The team that plays together, celebrates together, as they proudly hold the ceremonial check.

In addition to the RAM Gridiron Challenge, White Plains Chrysler dealership has sponsored such other endeavors as the Tri-State Trek (for Lou Gehrig's disease), the Westchester Marathon, Women's Cancer Research, Operation Gratitude for the U.S. military, and for institutions such as Fordham University and the White Plains YMCA. On the national level, Chrysler Group LLC has supported schools in communities where the company does business since 1993 and since then, the company has raised well over $5 million for America's schools through programs.
